The project is a new 43,000 square foot building and 3,500 square foot covered wash area that will be used for inspection and repair of light rail vehicles. The main building has a two story office / shop (approximately 33,000 square feet). Level one will house multiple areas such as a large machine shop, oil room, pump room, traction power room, parts storage, tool room and various offices and electrical rooms. The second floor is primarily office space, a yard control center, men’s and women’s lockers, and lunchroom.
