Geothermal heat pump systems use the natural storage capabilities and cooler or warmer earth temperatures to reduce electric bills from 15%-50%. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued this statement back in 1993 and it still applies today:

“the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective space-conditioning system” (according to U.S. EPA 1993)

Redding Linden Burr is one of the nation’s leaders in deploying this technology; on staff is a “Certified Geothermal Designer” (CGD) who holds certificate #3 out of the hundreds that have been issued.  He is the author of the geothermal heat pump chapter for the Encyclopedia of Energy Engineering and Technology as well as a US Patent on converting this stored earth heat into electricity.  Below is a list of some of the projects our staff has been involved with:
