HISTORY

In the early 70’s, Richard Burr, Steve Redding and Art Linden were beginning their respective engineering careers, each intent to make their mark on the profession. After running successful individual firms for many decades, the men merged their firms in 2000, intent to make the value of the whole greater than the sum of the separate parts. Redding Linden Burr, Inc. has succeeded in that endeavor, and has grown to become one of the top ten consulting engineering firms in Houston.

Our founders shared a vision that endures today, and is the continued source of our success - client service. Of course we back our service with solid mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering expertise. RLB firm principals maintain hands-on involvement on every project. We stay current with engineering advancements, and our employees are active in professional organizations. We maintain professional registrations in the majority of the United States.

In addition to being great engineers, we are also happy engineers. RLB views every project as a new challenge. With challenge comes opportunity - for problem solving, for improved communication, for new team dynamics, and for the satisfaction of taking a project from concept to creation.

The breadth of our clients and projects has allowed us to significantly impact the built environment and our community, another source of great satisfaction and pride for everyone at RLB. Since our firm founders began practicing more than three decades ago, we have always been committed to resource conservation. Our proudest firm achievement is continually being part of the solution to energy dependence and global warming.
